Some salons price the whole morning as one package instead. One London salon lists on-location hair for the bride and up to four others at £500 to £715 in London, and £865 to £1,240 outside it.
What some lists also charge
- A minimum on peak weekends: four people on one list, six services on another.
- An assistant or second stylist for larger parties, £100 to £225.
- A stylist staying on for touch-ups: one list charges £80 to £100 an hour.
- Destination weddings: one list adds £500 per stylist for each travel day.
Some go the other way. One list takes £50 off Monday to Thursday weddings and any date from January to March or in November.
Hair and makeup
Most searches for bridal prices ask about hair and makeup together. The Bridebook UK Wedding Report 2026 puts the combined average at £811: £417 on hair and £394 on makeup. I style hair only. Makeup is booked with the artist of your choice, and the morning is planned around both chairs.
How to compare quotes
Two quotes for the same date rarely cover the same things. Ask each stylist:
- Is the trial included, or priced separately?
- How is travel charged, and does it include parking in central London?
- Is there a minimum number of people on your date?
- Who styles the hair on the day: the stylist you met, or someone from a team?
- Does the stylist stay once the bride is finished, and at what rate?

A bride-only booking on a Saturday in June and a party of six on a Tuesday in February are different jobs.
